    5 Tampa Bay schools ranked in Florida’s top 50, according to Niche

    TAMPA BAY Fl, (BLOOM) – Five schools from the Tampa Bay area earned top spots in Niche.com’s annual list of the best public high schools in Florida , highlighting the region’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.

    Pine View School , located in Osprey, led the charge, securing the number two position statewide. The Sarasota County public school is known for its rigorous academic program and strong student outcomes, making it the highest-ranked school in the Tampa Bay area.

    St. Petersburg Collegiate High School followed at number 13. Part of Pinellas County Schools, this institution offers dual enrollment opportunities, allowing students to earn college credits while completing their high school education.

    At number 17, Hillsborough Virtual Schoo l provides an alternative learning model for students across Hillsborough County. Offering flexible, online learning options, it has become a leader in digital education.

    Bradenton’s State College of Florida Collegiate School ranked 30th on the list. Serving students in Manatee County, it prepares students for college through a collegiate model focused on early college admissions.

    Rounding out the list for Tampa Bay is Plant High School , which secured the 45th spot. The Hillsborough County public school has a longstanding reputation for academic achievement, making it one of the most sought-after schools in the region.

    This year’s rankings underscore the Tampa Bay area’s strong showing in education, with diverse options available for students in both traditional and virtual learning environments.
