SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN) – The Suntide Island Beach Club in Lido Beach has been left in a state of devastation, following the impact of Hurricane Helene.

The hurricane’s record-breaking storm surge swept large amounts of sand into every room on the ground level, with some rooms up to 4 feet of sand.

Zach Easton, the general manager of Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration, has been hired to lead the cleanup efforts.

“I have seen some photos of how it was right after the storm, but until you get out there and see it for yourself, it is actually crazy,” Eatson said.

Eatson said it will take two to six months to fully repair the beach club.
