APOLLO BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A rescued sea turtle and thousands of corals will be relocated from The Florida Aquarium conservation campus in Apollo Beach ahead of Hurricane Milton.

The Florida Aquarium has been caring for the sea turtle that was found in a Weeki Wachee neighborhood after Hurricane Helene.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium rescued the turtle and transferred it to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center.

The sea turtle will be transferred to The Florida Aquarium’s Tampa location, where it will stay on the second floor.

The Corals Conservation Team worked with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and others to move more than 4,000 coral juveniles.

The corals will be headed to the Georgia Aquarium and the Reef Institute in West Palm Beach.
