    Gov. Ron DeSantis gives updates on Hurricane Milton

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Governor Ron DeSantis speaks on the efforts to help residents ahead of Hurricane Milton.

    DeSantis was joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie, Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue, Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Director Dave Kerner, Major General John D. Haas Adjutant General of Florida.

    Hurricane Milton is a Category 4 hurricane located about 560 miles southwest of Tampa.

    According to DeSantis, gas, and diesel are on their way to Florida. 27 fuel trucks have delivered fuel to areas where Milton is expected to hit. The Port of Tampa Bay will not be getting fuel delivered due to the possibility of being hit by Milton.

    The Tampa Bay area is currently picking up debris from Hurricane Helene. 300 dump trucks have been deployed to areas that are expected to get hit by Hurricane Milton, and over 1,200 truckloads of debris have been removed.

    my prayers go out to everyone that lives in Miami Orlando in that part of Florida I hope that everyone makes it out safely and doesn't stay there this is twice that a hurricane has went to that part of Florida. praying for the family's out there
