    Charter buses available to residents needing assistance to shelters

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Department of Emergency Management is offering charter buses in Hillsborough County for residents who need to go to emergency shelters.

    For evacuation assistance residents can call (800)-729-3413.

    Buses will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at these locations on Tuesday, Oct. 8:

    Bus 10: Northwest Hillsborough/Tampa

    • Winn-Dixie: 13016 Race Track Road
    • ALDI: 10419 Sheldon Road

    Bus 11: City of Tampa

    • Publix: 2724 West Hillsborough Avenue
    • Publix: 2401 West Azeele Street
    • Publix 4315 West Gandy Boulevard

    Bus 12: City of Tampa

    • Publix: 6001 North Nebraska Avenue
    • Publix: 1105 East Twigg Street

    Bus 13: City of Tampa

    • Publix: 11502 North 53rd Street
    • Publix: 5450 East Busch Boulevard

    Bus 14: South-Central Hillsborough County

    • Winn-Dixie: 6929 U.S. 301
    • Publix: 13154 U.S. 301
    • Winn-Dixie: 1023 South Tamiami Trail

    Bus 15: Eastern Hillsborough County

    • Publix: 2515 Thonotosassa Road
    • Winn-Dixie: 205 West Alexander Street

    Hillsborough Transit Authority is also offering bus services to shelter until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
