    Rescue operations begin across Tampa Bay

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After Hurricane Milton made landfall Wednesday night in Siesta Key as a Category 3 storm, rescue operations have already begun.

    Hillsborough County

    The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was rescuing residents at the Great American assisted-living facility in Tampa.

    HCSO deployed assets from Raymond James Stadium to start their recovery efforts.

    Around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, deputies were also in Town N Country, moving people to safety.
