First-In-Teams working to open roadways in Manatee County

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) —Manatee County’s First-In-Teams will begin working on opening the roadways within the county.

Manatee County officials advise residents to shelter in place while crews work on getting the roadways open.

The FIT teams are made up of 16 to 20 members from different departments including:

• Law enforcement
• Fire and Emergency
• Management Services
• Public Works
• Power Companies
• Transit and Beach Patrol

Crews will be the first on scene to assess the damages and clear roadways, according to Manatee County.
