Carrollwood, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2024) — In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, a feathered friend made a special appearance at the Caceres family home in Carrollwood. The Peacock, a local neighborhood visitor, stopped by the morning after the storm to check in on the family.

As winds howled and rain poured down, Pablo sought shelter nearby. The Caceres family spotted him outside their glass door, peeking in as if to ask, “Are you all okay?” In a heartwarming gesture of connection, Pablo seemed to be making sure that his human friends were safe after the storm had passed.

“Was he okay?” neighbors wondered. Thankfully, the resilient bird was none the worse for wear, and by the next morning, he was checking in with the Caceres family and surveying the storm’s aftermath.

The Caceres family was relieved to see their feathered friend standing strong and healthy after Hurricane Milton, bringing a little bit of joy to an otherwise stressful time.
