LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas County officials held a news conference Friday to discuss the county’s recovery from Hurricane Milton.

Emergency officials are working to restore power and clear roads to aid in recovery efforts.

They warned residents that over 150 traffic lights remained without power and drivers should treat them as a 4-way stop.

Out of 1,900 properties surveyed by the county, 500 were destroyed or reported critical damage, officials said. Residents can report storm damage on the Pinellas County website .

Emergency crews restored water and power to many Pinellas County medical facilities, but some remain closed.

Around 1,500 people remain in Pinellas County shelters. Officials are working to transition them out of school buildings so those facilities can operate again.

Officials said a baby girl was born at one of the shelters and staff helped with her delivery.
