    DeSantis speaks on Hurricane Milton recovery efforts in Plant City

    PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — Gov. Ron DeSantis is speaking in Plant City on Hurricane Milton recovery efforts.

    The governor will be joined by Kevin Guthrie, the Florida Division of Emergency Management Director, and the Adjutant General of Florida, Major General John D. Haas.

    Feeding Tampa Bay opens emergency distribution sites for hurricane victims

    Milton made landfall Wednesday night in Siesta Key as a Category 3 storm, causing significant damage across Tampa Bay.

    Many residents remain without power. Crews around the state are working to restore other outages, clear up debris, and refuel gas stations.

    it's bad everywhere.. I went to pick my sister up in Seffner and it tore up. The trees are down everywhere on the electrical wires. This will take a while to fix.
