    Pinellas County officials give updates on power, recovery centers after Milton

    PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas County officials provided updates Monday morning on the Hurricane Milton response and recovery efforts.

    The county is still dealing with the impacts of the Category 3 storm, including fuel shortages and long gas lines , boil water notices , and streets lined with debris.

    St. Petersburg lifts boil water notice days after Hurricane Milton

    The city of St. Petersburg and surrounding cities from Johns Pass to Tierra Verde, excluding Gulfport, have lifted their boil water notice, as of Monday morning.

    “After thorough testing, results confirm that the water in those areas now meets all safety and quality standards,” St. Pete officials said.

    As of 9:30 a.m., 94,000 Pinellas County residents with Duke Energy remain without power, but full restoration is expected by Tuesday at 11:59 p.m.

    Many traffic signals remain without power, so residents are reminded to treat downed signals as four-way stops.

    Over the weekend, more than 14,000 cubic yards of storm debris were cleared out in the county.

    • Florida Botanical Gardens, Magnolia Room : 12520 Ulmerton Road in Largo (From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day through Saturday)
    • Enoch D. Davis Center: 1111 18th Ave. S. in St. Petersburg (Opens at 1 p.m. on Monday and will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day)

    According to Barbra Hernandez, Pinellas County’s Director of Communications said the city of St. Petersburg reported two deaths from Hurricane Milton.
