TAMPA, Fla. (BLOOM) — In response to the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Milton, Denny’s Mobile Relief Diner (MRD) is rolling into Tampa to serve free hot meals to community members and first responders affected by the storm.
Beginning Wednesday, October 16 , the 53-foot mobile kitchen will be stationed in the Lowe’s parking lot at 6275 W. Waters Ave and will serve breakfast daily from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Sunday, October 20 .
The Mobile Relief Diner, an initiative launched by Denny’s to support communities during national disasters, has already provided more than 70,000 meals since 2017. After feeding over 16,000 people in Spartanburg, S.C., and Asheville, N.C., following Hurricane Helene, the diner is now mobilizing to assist the residents of Tampa, who are still recovering from Hurricane Milton’s impact.
“We understand how critical support is in the aftermath of such disasters,” said Chris Bode, Denny’s President and COO. “The Mobile Relief Diner enables us to provide immediate assistance and a comforting meal to those who need it most, including the first responders working tirelessly in these communities.”

Denny’s is committed to helping Tampa residents recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Milton, ensuring that those most affected can access a hot meal and some much-needed support during this challenging time.
Mc Donald's has a semi trailer kitchen as well they brought to disaster areas. I think that is a great marketing idea and to help the community recover. You can spend $100000 in food and those people will always remember that hot meal and more likely to visit in the future. Glad they have those, I wonder what other restaurants fast-food have big kitchen rigs??
