    Sarasota Disaster Recovery Center expands its hours

    SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Disaster Recovery Center located at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium has expanded its hours due to demand.

    The recovery center, located at 801 North Tamiami Trail, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

    At the Disaster Recovery Center, residents can:

    • Apply for assistance. They can also Apply for FEMA Assistance online or Apply/Check their status by phone 1-800-621-3362
    • Learn the status of their FEMA application
    • Learn about disaster assistance programs
    • Find housing and rental assistance information.
    • Understand any letters they receive from FEMA
    • Get answers to questions or resolve problems
    • Get referrals to agencies that may offer other assistance
    • Learn about Small Business Administration (SBA) program

    The Disaster Recovery Center at the Sarasota Christian Church is no longer open.

    Those in need of transportation can call 311 to arrange a ride through Breeze Transit. For more information about available resources in Sarasota County, call 311 or visit scgov.net/storm .
