Deputies said that’s when the driver struck a stop sign that was leaning over the roadway, which had been damaged during Hurricane Milton.

When the bus hit the sign during the turn, six windows were damaged.

The driver and the two passengers were not hurt. The parent of the student was notified by authorities.

The crash remains an ongoing investigation.
