    Hillsborough donation sites open to assist those affected by Hurricane Milton

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced the continuation of the HCSO Cares Initiative by adding donation sites in support of recovery efforts after Hurricane Milton.

    HCSO will collect donations at seven different sites starting Friday, Oct. 18, and will go on until Friday, Oct. 25.

    “Hurricane Milton has impacted many in our community, and we are committed to lending a helping hand as they rebuild their lives,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said.

    The community can donate new clothes, new shoes, non-perishable foods, and hygiene items.

    The donation site locations are:

    • District 1: 14102 North 20th Street, Tampa, FL 33613
    • District 2: 2310 North Faulkenburg Road, Tampa, FL 33619
    • District 3: 7202 Gunn Highway, Tampa, FL 33625
    • District 4: 508 33rd Street Southeast, Ruskin, FL 33570
    • District 5: 10128 Windhorst Road, Tampa, FL 33619
    • Courthouse: 800 East Twiggs Street. Tampa, FL 33602
    • Sheriff’s Operation Center: 2008 East 8th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605

    “Our deputies and staff are ready to serve in any way we can, and we invite the public to join us by contributing to this drive,” Chronister said.

    HCSO asks residents to donate and make a difference for the families that were impacted by Hurricane Milton.
