TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The National Weather Service confirmed three additional tornadoes touched down in Florida during Hurricane Milton.

In their post-tropical cyclone report, officials found that two tornadoes were found in Lee County around noon on Oct. 9, and another in Archbold in Highlands County around 2:45 p.m.

The NWS said these tornadoes were part of the same cell as the Venus track, but no damage was reported between the points that would make it a continuous track.

These extra three reports now bring the total to seven within that area.

In the report, it details how some of these tornadoes “ripped” roofs off homes, “peeled” off carports, and collapsed exterior walls. RVs and ATVs were also reportedly overturned.

One woman sheltering in a bedroom in Highlands County was injured by the collapsing wall, the NWS report said.

Officials said as they continue to survey the previous weather conditions in the upcoming days, more reporting may become available.
