TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hillsborough County opened a new temporary debris drop-off site in Lithia.
Residents can haul their storm debris to the Southeast County Landfill, located at 15960 County Road 672 in Lithia.
The site will accept yard waste and construction debris. The landfill is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, according to the Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center.
Residents must bring photo ID showing the address of the property owner and a printed or digital copy of the current property tax bill in order to use the site.
Hillsborough County also launched a debris collection map aimed at helping residents in unincorporated areas of the county find collection sites and monitor debris collection routes in their neighborhoods.
County officials said the first pass of collection efforts in the unincorporated areas is expected to be completed by November 17.
