SARASOTA, Fla. (SNNTV) – A team led by Sarasota Hart Landing manager Sherman Baldwin is launching a project to capture the storm damage through Anna Maria island up to the barrier islands in Sarasota.

“The visual nature and the destruction and devastation in the area is just one that we need to bring home. We want to show it to people in their living rooms, smart phones and their devices to be able to show that direct contrast,” Baldwin said.

Their drone footage reveals scenes of destruction from debris on the road to broken docks.

“It is important to show footage of the cleanup and the community getting together. We will come strong and recover,” Baldwin said.

Part of the project is a launch of their website on Oct. 23, which will connect donors with charities. Baldwin is also planning on a benefit concert, which will include top billboard country artists and local bands from Sarasota.
