Breezy, mild Sunday with an isolated shower

Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) — Happy Sunday! We are starting off nice and cool, with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. We have a few more clouds and a bit higher humidity today, but it will still be quite pleasant.

Temperatures will warm through the 70s and into the low 80s for the afternoon hours. Breezy northeasterly winds will be sustained around 15 mph with gusts around 20mph making for a definite skirt alert day!

The gusty winds will push a few very light showers across the state and into our area during the afternoon, making for a 20% chance for a shortlived shower.

Not the best of conditions out on the water boaters. Strong northeasterly winds will cause choppy conditions on bay and inland waters with a slight chance for a passing shower. A Small Craft Advisory remains in place for Bay Area waters.

For the Bucs game on Monday night, it may be the best weather we’ve seen for a game this season! We have a small chance for a quick shower during tailgating, but by kickoff, things look really nice with temperatures cooling down through the 70s during the game.

Look for temperatures to warm slightly next week. Reading will top off in the mid to upper 80s each afternoon with returning humidity.

Hurricane Season is still alive and well. Tracking both Oscar and Nadine in the tropics. The good news is, neither are currently a threat to the State of Florida.
