    Bicyclist killed after being struck by pickup truck in St. Pete intersection, police say

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A bicyclist has died after a pickup truck struck him in a St. Petersburg intersection on Saturday evening, officials said.

    According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, a Ford pickup truck struck the man at 54th Avenue North and MLK Street around 6 p.m.

    2nd suspect arrested after man gunned down in New Tampa intersection

    The victim, identified as 66-year-old Kurt Kautz, died from his injuries.

    Police said the driver of the truck stopped and cooperated with the investigation. It is unclear if the driver will face any charges.

    The intersection was shut down for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.

    No further details have been released.
