UPDATE: Person of interest in Oshkosh homicide identified as 23-year-old Oshkosh man, police asking for help

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Oshkosh are asking the public for assistance in locating a man named a person of interest in the homicide in Oshkosh around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The person of interest is 23-year-old Sybastian CL Crossman of Oshkosh.

Anybody who knows his whereabouts is asked to immediately call the Oshkosh Police Department or 911 if needed.

Officers investigating late-night homicide in Oshkosh, one person taken into custody

SATURDAY, 8/10/24, 10:14 a.m.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating a homicide outside a business in the 500 Block of High Ave.

According to the release , officers were sent out to a weapons call around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, after a report that a man was stabbed.

Further investigation revealed an altercation between multiple people who were known to each other, and that a 20-year-old Oshkosh man was stabbed. The man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but pronounced dead at the hospital.

One 22-year-old Oshkosh man was taken into custody within the hour, and officers are still looking for another person of interest.
