GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – It is Lamar Jackson’s first trip to Green Bay, but he will not take the field on Saturday in the third and final preseason game for both the Packers and Ravens.

“I’m excited, I’m excited to see the guys play, I won’t be playing but I’m excited, it’s my first time in Green Bay,” Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said. “Dope experience.”

In one of sports’ most iconic traditions, dozens of kids and their bikes line the locker room exit and Lambeau Field for their favorite Packers to ride their two-wheel hot rods. The Packers held a joint practice with the Ravens on Thursday morning and wanted their opponents to get a taste of the experience.

Jackson was trying to dole out as many high fives as possible, and lost control and swerved on his bike for a couple seconds in a moment that brought plenty of laughter from him and onlookers.

“It was dope, I almost fell off the bike actually trying to shake hands with the fans, I had a little technical difficulty but it was all good,” he said. “Definitely a cool tradition, I loved it, I loved it.”

Kids enjoyed having the Ravens in town as well.

“It was a great experience, fun meeting new people and players,” Joey Steffek said.

“They’re super nice people,” Ethan Schmeckpeper said. “It was just an awesome experience.”

Tristan Brenneschul wanted one player, and one player only to ride his bike: Ravens running back “King” Derrick Henry. So he came prepared, adorning a crown, a Henry Titans jersey and a bike decked out with purple ribbons.

“I just like tried to do the Ravens colors, and his nickname is ‘King Henry’ so I just tried to dress up like a king. And I have his jersey, so it worked out pretty good.”
