    Early morning fight in Fond du Lac’s Fast Taco parking lot ends in shooting, one hospitalized

    FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 24-year-old man was shot and hospitalized after a fight broke out in the parking lot of a Fond du Lac restaurant early Sunday morning.

    According to the Fond du Lac Police Department , officers responded to the parking lot of the Fast Taco Restaurant on North Main Street around 2:30 a.m. on October 20 after initial reports of a fight.

    When first responders got to the parking lot, they found a 24-year-old man, who is reportedly from Fond du Lac, with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Authorities immediately began life-saving measures and took the victim to a local hospital for further treatment.

    It was noted that the man is now in stable condition.

    FDLPD stated in the release that officers and detectives are actively following up on leads to positively identify the person of interest. It was also noted that the shooting took place from a vehicle that was in the parking lot, which fled before authorities arrived.

    Preliminary information and surveillance camera evidence suggest this shooting is an isolated and targeted incident and there is no threat to the community. To the suspect of this violent crime, our Detectives and Officers will not rest until you are found and in custody.
