Detour in place after tractor-trailer crashed on US-360 in Halifax County

UPDATE: 10:02 A.M. HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) — The Virginia Department of Transportation reports a detour is set up after a tractor-trailer crashed on US-360 in Halifax County this morning.

Currently, all east lanes are closed, near Piney Creek Road, and the west shoulder and left lanes are closed.

The department says traffic is being diverted onto Route 607, to Route 746 and VA-92, and then back onto US-360.

HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) — Drivers traveling on US-360 in Halifax County can expect delays after a tractor-trailer crashed on Tuesday morning.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the crash occurred on James D. Hagood Highway, near Rodgers Chapel Road.

As a result, the east left shoulder and left lanes are closed. The west left shoulder and left lanes are also shut down.

Commuters are expected to find an alternative route of travel, as crews work to clear the crash.
