The region will remain ahead of a cold front on Friday. Clouds will increase throughout the day becoming mostly cloudy Friday night.

The front will move through the region on Saturday, bringing the chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two. Not everyone will get wet. If you rain, it will be less than a tenth of an inch except in Southside where a few locations could receive a quarter of an inch.

Temperatures will drop slightly behind the front, falling from near 80 on Saturday into the mid- to upper 60s on Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will return to the 80s starting on Tuesday.

In the tropics, there are four areas of interest, two in the Atlantic and two that could impact the Gulf of Mexico.
