Henry County Sheriff charges student for allegedly threatening to bomb Magna Vista HS

HENRY COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a juvenile in connection to a seconded bomb threat made during a separate incident that occurred at Magna Vista High School on September 12.

Deputies received reports of a bomb threat made Thursday to Magna Vista High School that were shared through social media.

An investigation was immediately launched. It was determined that the threat was non-credible and allegedly made by a 17-year-old student. The sheriff said the juvenile suspect has allegedly confessed.

“We want to reassure the public that there was never an actual threat to the school or public.”
The juvenile has been charged with the following:

• Threat to bomb or burn buildings (Felony)

The juvenile is currently being held at the W.W. Moore Juvenile Detention Facility.
