    New FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opens in Grayson County

    GRAYSON COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – FEMA has opened a new disaster recovery center in Grayson County.

    Located at the Guynn Shopping Center on 578 East Main Street from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the center offers assistance to anyone in need. To reach it, visit in person or call 800-621-FEMA (3362).

    The toll-free telephone number operates seven days a week.

    Boil water advisory lifted for all New River Regional Water Authority service areas

    FEMA says more centers are scheduled to open throughout the region soon.

    Anyone who needs to register for assistance can also visit DisasterAssistance.gov or use the FEMA App on your phone. The application deadline for disaster assistance is December 2.

    FEMA officials said anyone receiving a letter regarding application status should visit a DRC to learn more about the next steps. Staff can help with submission information, filing documentation to continue the application process, and answering questions.
