    VSP identifies victim of deadly three-vehicle crash on Forest Road

    BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – Virginia State Police have released the identity of the person killed during a three-vehicle crash on Friday, Oct 11.

    VSP said around 7:15 p.m. on Friday, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was on Route 221N near Casaloma Road, when the driver crossed the centerline into the south lane, and side-swiped a 2017 Ford Explorer. The Explorer then hit a 2007 Nissan Altima head-on.

    The driver of the Nissan was identified as 23-year-old Isaac Graham Cyrus of Bedford and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

    The driver of the Ford was a 63-year-old woman who received injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

    The driver of the Chevrolet was a 70-year-old man who was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt.

    VSP said the investigation is still ongoing and believes alcohol was a factor in the crash. Charges are currently pending after consultation with the Bedford County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
