    Spooktacular ‘ZooBoo’ come to Mill Mountain Zoo

    ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Mill Mountain Zoo is getting wild and spooky this Halloween with its ‘ZooBoo’ event with trick-or-treating, games, crafts, and entertainment on October 26.

    ZooBoo will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature the zoo Raccoons, Black Bear, and Burmese Python on stage with zookeepers, as well as lots more family activities.

    This year, the event added a shuttle to the zoo to bring visitors from the Elmwood parking lot on Williamson Road to the zoo parking lot. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes.

    Tickets for ZooBoo are on pre-sale at $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, and $10 for children between the ages of 3-12 years old. Purchasing tickets in advance will give access to an express check-in line.

    ‘The House is Unlocked,’ Scaremare in Lynchburg returns

    Tickets on Friday, October 25, and the day of the event will increase to $15 for adults, $14 for seniors, and $13 for children between 3-12 years old. Children ages 2 and under can enter the event free per adult permission.

    Members of the Mill Mountain Zoo can enter the event with free admission as a part of their membership along with express check-in.

    Valleystar Credit Union is the sponsor for the event to bring spooktacular fun for families. The zoo’s raccoons, black bears, and Burmese pythons will come to the stage with the zookeeper for entertainment.
