58-year-old male killed in shooting, suspect in custody

PITTSLYVANIA COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – The Pittslyvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident with the help of the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

On Saturday, October 19 around 4:00 p.m. deputies responded to a reported shooting at 573 Delta Drive in Hurt, Va.

Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim in the front yard with a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to Sovah Health in Gretna where he later died of his injuries.

The victim was identified as 58-year-old Paul Glass Jr. of Hurt. Mr. Glass’ body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

Police said there is no further threat to the community.

The incident remains under investigation. An alleged suspect has been identified and is currently being detained with pending charges as the investigation continues.
