    Pinpoint Weather: A frosty start to a warmer week

    Tonight will see some clearing skies and temperatures falling into the 30s to around 40. Some areas may become cold enough to support frost formation and even freezing conditions for vegetation. Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings are in effect for areas along and east of the Blue Ridge. The NWS issues these for the first time conditions occur in the season. Areas to the west have already seen frost and freeze conditions and may experience them again Monday morning.

    Monday will become warmer with highs close to normal in the 60s.

    The rest of the week will be warmer with highs from 5 to as much as 10 degrees above normal. The warmer-than-normal weather will likely continue through at least November 6th.

    Rain chances this week are slight with a few isolated showers possible Thursday night and Friday. The trend is for normal precipitation, which averages just under a 10th of an inch per day, into early November.
