    FEMA hosts first Agriculture Recovery Resource Day for farmers impacted by Helene

    GRAYSON COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – FEMA is hosting its first Agriculture Recovery Resource Day for farmers who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene in Virginia.

    The Agriculture Recovery Resource Day will occur on Tuesday, October 29 located at Mountain View Baptist Church, 112 Mountain View Road, Independence, Va.

    New FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opens in Grayson County

    This all-day event is for agricultural businesses to learn about resources and information from local, state, and federal agencies. Hurricane Helene caused over $159 million in farm losses and agricultural damage in Southwest Virginia, according to the Virginia Cooperative Extension .
