    Cicada Watch! Here’s where cicadas have been spotted across Chicago area

    CHICAGO — Ready or not, here they come! Cicada sightings have already been reported in parts of Indiana and Illinois, including here in the Chicago area.

    But this is just the beginning, soon millions among billions of them will emerge from the ground.

    Here in Illinois, two broods of periodical cicadas will come out. In central and southern Illinois, its the 13-year cicadas. In central and northern Illinois, it’s the 17-year cicadas.

    every 20 years, no big deal, have we not more important issues of the United States to pay attention to and find resolutions? Asking for a friend.

    PLEASE keep a close eye on your pets! My dog has been obsessed with eating them and is now on probiotics and bland diet from a Very upset tummy. If he is not better in a couple days I have to take him in! They can cause blockages and/or damage the intestines! By time I realized he was eating them and got on him it was to late! These nasty things can't be gone soon enough!
