19-year-old fatally shot on Far South Side

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was killed in a shooting on the city’s Far South Side.

The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of West 93rd Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

Police responded to a call of a person shot and found the 19-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

According to a witness, the victim was shot by an offender who ran to a black sedan and fled the scene.

No one is in custody. Area Two Detectives are investigating.
