    CTA Brown Line riders to be affected starting Monday by service disruption for Western Ave. station improvements

    CHICAGO — Starting Monday, CTA Brown Line riders may need a little extra time for their morning commute.

    New Brown Line service disruptions will begin Monday and run through Friday, Sept. 20, due to construction work for improvements to the Western Avenue Brown Line station in Lincoln Square.

    CTA says that during the new service disruptions, Kimball-bound lines will not stop at the Western Brown Line station.

    Per CTA, for Kimball-bound service from the Western Brown Line station, passengers can take a Loop-bound train to Damen and transfer to a Kimball-bound train. For Kimball-bound service to the Western Brown Line station, passengers can take a Kimball-bound train to Rockwell and transfer to a Loop-bound train.
