HOMER GLEN, Ill. – A boil order remains Wednesday for parts of the Village of Homer Glen.

Officials announced Tuesday, Aug. 29, that all subdivisions in Twin Lakes, Country Woods, Oak Valley, Deboer Woods, Crystal Creek, Indian Rock Trail, Meadow Crest, Wedgewood, and Country View were affected.

Illinois American Water Service said it would notify customers when it lifts the order.

Officials did not specify the reasoning behind the directive but asked residents to boil water used for drinking or cooking for at least five minutes.
