    Arrest made in deadly shooting spurred by argument outside South Side restaurant

    CHICAGO — Months after a deadly altercation outside a South Side-area restaurant , Chicago police on Thursday announced an arrest in connection with the slaying.

    Victor Bradford, 30, of Chicago faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder and various weapons offenses.

    According to Chicago police, the deadly shooting unfolded around 4:30 a.m. on May 11 in the 7400 block of South State Street, in the city’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, near Maxwell Street Polish.

    Officers say the victim, a 30-year-old man, and Bradford got into a verbal altercation that turned physical. Police said Bradford pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the chest. He then fled the scene in an SUV.

    The victim was later pronounced dead.

    Bradford was due in court on Thursday.
