    2 Chicago women awaiting trial for theft caught shoplifting again in Oak Brook

    OAK BROOK, Ill. — Two Chicago women awaiting trial for shoplifting are accused of committing the act once more at a west suburban beauty store, allegedly making off with more than $1,150 worth of merchandise.

    Reneashia McDowell, 31, and Shania Jacobs, 28, each face felony charges of burglary and retail theft after leaving the Ulta Beauty store, located at 2155 W. 22nd Street in Oak Brook, without paying for items on Thursday, Aug. 29.

    Oak Brook officers arrested the pair and allegedly found perfumes worth approximately $1,168.

    Weeks earlier, on Aug. 9, prosecutors allege that the pair left a JC Penney store at 175 Yorktown Mall Drive with a jewelry box containing a necklace and children’s clothing. Both women were arrested, charged with felony burglary and retail theft, and released with conditions.

    A judge denied a pre-trial release for both women. They are due back in court in late September.
