The stretch of warm, sunny, dry weather in Chicagoland will continue into the near future, with Wednesday projected to be the warmest day.

High temperatures will reach the upper 80s inland and the lower to mid-80s along the lake. However, dew points are forecast to remain very low, topping out in the upper 40s to lower 50s throughout the area, so the lack of humidity will make for comfortable air.

But that also means it’ll remain very dry, with the forecast showing only a slight chance for much-needed rain this weekend, as of now.

Meanwhile, Wednesday is off to a comfortable start in Chicagoland, with temps ranging from the 40s to the 60s and low dew points.

It’ll be mostly cloudy to start the day, but sunshine will gradually increase as skies clear into the afternoon. Thursday looks to be very similar to Wednesday, though maybe just a bit cooler.

Additionally, Chicagoland is likely to see cloud cover Thursday night into Friday from Hurricane Francine as it moves north. The storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday on the Gulf coast of Louisiana as a Category 1 hurricane.

For Chicagoland, any rain as a result of Hurricane Francine is expected to be minimal.
