Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce hosts dog-friendly event

CHICAGO — Dog owners and their best friends will get the chance to spend a lazy Sunday at an event in the Lakeview and Roscoe Village community.

The Wake up with your Pup event kicks off on Sunday in the Southport Plaza of the Low-Line, in the 3400 block of North Southport, at 9 a.m. and runs through 11 a.m.

The event, which is funded by Special Service Area 27, will feature free treats for dogs, complimentary coffee, donuts, savory treats and an election-themed photo opportunity.

Robert Morvay, Community Development & SSA 27 Director for the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, and Nicole Carpio from Chicago Canine Rescue joined WGN News on Saturday morning to discuss the event.
