NEWARK, N.J. — Justin Timberlake abruptly canceled his concert Tuesday just a few hours before he was supposed to take the stage in Newark, New Jersey.

The singer posted a message on Instagram that said, “I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP.”

The message was posted just before 6 p.m. Eastern Time. His concert was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Prudential Center.

“I promise to make it up to you and give you the show y’all deserve,” the post continued. “Thank you guys for understanding. Appreciate your support always.”
