    Man in custody at Cook Co. jail indicted after authorities allegedly find drug-soaked papers hidden in boxer shorts

    COOK COUNTY, Ill. — A man who was already in custody on an aggravated robbery charge has been indicted by a Cook County Grand Jury after authorities allegedly found drug-soaked papers and other contraband hidden inside his boxer shorts.

    According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Stanley Rounds has been indicted for possessing contraband in a penal institution after authorities allegedly uncovered strips of paper laced with a synthetic opioid and suspected marijuana.

    Deputies said on June 15, sheriff’s office investigators recovered paper strips in a plastic bag as well as pills, lighters, a battery and suspected marijuana in Rounds’ boxer shorts.

    The strips, which were sent to the Illinois State Police lab for testing, later tested positive for buprenorphine, a synthetic opioid.

    Rounds, who was indicted on Sept. 25, has been in custody at the Cook County jail since Aug. 22 after he pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery.
