Teams from FEMA are going door to door to make sure Chicago residents get the assistance they need from last summer’s severe storms.

FEMA teams are knocking on doors helping homeowners and renters register for assistance.

Workers went through the city’s Gage Park neighborhood Friday morning.

Illinois residents impacted by July storms can now apply for aid: Here’s how

Heavy rains, flooding, and tornadoes hit Cook County hard in the middle of July. Victims who are uninsured or underinsured don’t have to wait for disaster teams to come.

They can apply for aid at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ They can also download the FEMA mobile app or call 800-621-3362.
