    Weekend Break: Palos Goes Pink

    PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. — Several gyms in Palos Heights came together for the second annual Palos Goes Pink event, which raises funds for breast cancer research.

    One in eight women in America will be diagnosed with breast cancer and that is why Megan Wenstrup, the owner of Heights Cycle, located in the 7200 block of West College Drive, and her team are hosting the second annual event.

    Nearly 100 people showed up at Lake Katherine for the event, which hosted five different circuit-style workouts led by area gyms and instructors.

    The Palos Park Women’s Club was also on hand helping participants get to their stations.
