Man fatally shot on Chicago’s West Side

CHICAGO — A man was shot and killed Tuesday morning on the city’s West Side.

The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. on the 3900 block of West Jackson in the Garfield Park neighborhood.

Police said a man, approximately 34-years-old, was outside when another man approached and opened fire. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced dead on scene.

According to police, the offender then got into a waiting silver SUV and fled the scene.

No one is in custody. Area Four Detectives are investigating.
