LAKE GENEVA, Wisc. — One of Lake Geneva’s most popular winter experiences will not be returning this winter season.

According to a press release, Winter Realms, the enchanting attraction from the creators of Ice Castles, will be taking a break for 2024.

A message on the company’s website says: “Winter Realms will be taking a hiatus this season. ALL LOCATIONS CLOSED. Stay Tuned — We’re working on something even more magical for the future!”

The decision comes after years of record-breaking weather in the area, which created challenges for the company to deliver the magical experience to guests.

“It has been a true pleasure to host our enchanting winter attraction at Geneva National, where we have had the joy of creating lasting memories for families and friends over the years. We are incredibly thankful for the support received and the happiness we have shared with the thousands of guests,” said Kyle Standifird, CEO of Ice Castles.

The company says they plan on spending the next year developing a new concept, and hope to return to Lake Geneva in the future.
