CPD: Teen girl missing for over a week has not attended school

CHICAGO — Police are asking for help in the search for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for over a week.

Chicago police say 15-year-old Camaya Howard was last seen near Roosevelt Road & South Harding Avenue, in North Lawndale, on the city’s West Side on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

According to police, Howard has not attended school since she went missing.

Officers say the missing girl stands 5-foot-4, weighs around 160 pounds and has brown eyes and long black hair.

Officers said she is also known to have a tattoo on the inside of her right arm that says “Rosline” in cursive.

Howard was last seen wearing a red polo shirt, blue jeans, as well as red and black Air Jordan shoes.

Howard can also be seen wearing a pair of pink and black glasses in a photo provided by police, but it is unclear if she was wearing them at the time of her disappearance.

Authorities provided details about the missing girl’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Tuesday afternoon.
