    New Baggu store in Chicago set to open next week

    CHICAGO — We now know the date when a bag company with a large online following will open its first Midwest brick-and-mortar store in Chicago.

    Baggu announced on its Instagram account that its Chicago location at 1639 N. Damen Ave. will open Friday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m.

    Other shops nationwide include Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Brooklyn.

    Baggu, which was launched in 2007, makes totes, purses, backpacks, and other bags and is praised for its sustainability.
