Free adoptions at Chicago Animal Care and Control Halloween event

CHICAGO — Are you an animal lover looking to enjoy frights with a furry friend this Halloween?

Chicago Animal Care and Control will host its second annual Halloween-fee-waived adoption event on Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon to 6 p.m.

CACC’s regular screening process will still apply to ensure a great match between pets and their new families.

CACC is located at 2741 S. Western Avenue on the city’s Lower West Side and is open seven days a week.

I hope and pray potential adopters get vetted before any official adoption. There are good people, but there are more evil people in today’s out of control world. The animals in shelters are there because of humans. It isn’t their fault that they are there. Each deserves a grander life than where they began. ❤️
