Man dies after stabbing on CTA bus in Austin

CHICAGO – A man has died after being stabbed during an argument on a CTA bus in Austin.

Chicago police said the stabbing happened just after 8 p.m. Friday aboard a CTA bus in the 200 block of South Cicero Avenue.

A 49-year-old man got into an argument with a woman while on the bus. That’s when the woman pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the chest, according to investigators.

Police said the man was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital where he died while the woman ran off.

No arrests have been made and Area Four Detectives are investigating.
